1) You must be anywhere between the ages of 23 and 37 when applying.
2) You must be a citizen of the U.S. or Northern Mariana Islands.
3) You must have a four-year degree (preferably a Bachelor's Degree) from a college or university recognized by the United States Secretary of Education.
4) You must have a driver's license.
5) You must be available to a job anywhere in the Unites States at any time.
6) You must be able to meet all the Special Agent Requirements (see below).
7) You must have at least 3 years of profesional work experience.

Special Agent Requirements
1) You must qualify into 1 of the following 5 Special Agent Entry Programs: Accounting, Computer Science/Information Technology, Language, Law, and Diversified. (This information was taken directly from the FBI website).
2) The FBI recruits based on certain Critical Skills and applicant has. An applicant with one or more of the following Critical Skills will be considered highly: Accounting, Finance, Computer Science/Information Technology Expertise, Engineering Expertise, Foreign Language(s) Proficiency, Intelligence Experience, Law Experience, Law Enforcement/Investigative Experience, Military Experience, Physical Sciences (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, etc.) Expertise, and Diversified Experience. PHYSICAL FITNESS REQUIREMENTS
You must pass the four parts of the Physical Fitness Test (PFT): maximum number of sit-ups in a minute, timed 300-meter sprint, maximum number of pushups (untimed), and timed one and one-half mile run. (This information was taken directly from the FBI website). If you don't manage to pass the PFT (by scoring less than six points), then you can apply for a retest one year later. If you fail the PFT with six or more points, then you must retest within 30-90 days. If you fail the PFT a second time with a score of six or more points, then you must retest within 90 -120 days. If you don't pass the PFT three times in succession, then you will be ineligible for a job as an FBI Special Agent.
VISION AND HEARING REQUIREMENTS
VISION- You must have 20/20 vision in one eye and no worse than 20/40 vision in the other.They must also pass the color vision test (known as the Farnsworth D-15 color vision test).

HEARING- You must pass an audiometer test. You will not be considered if you exceed any of the following: average hearing loss of 25 decibels at 1000, 2000, and 3000 Hertz, single reading of 35 decibels at 1000, 2000, and 3000 Hertz, single reading of 35 decibels at 500 Hertz, and single reading of 45 decibels at 4000 Hertz.
