counterintelligence
The Counterintelligence division is a lot like the Intelligence division, except it focuses especially on identifying and neutralizing threats. This division is the central head for investigations, and makes sure that anything the FBI does is coordinated so that no innocent people will be harmed. This division also focuses its attention on other nations that seem to pose a great threat to the Untied States. Their priorities are:
1) Keep a check on harmful weapons that enter the United States, and if necessary, neutralize them
2) Prevent the infiltration of the U.S. Intelligence Community
3) Prevent the infiltration of U.S. Government Agencies or contractirs
4) Prevent the compromise of U.S. Critical National Assets
5) Conduct aggressive counterintelligence operations on the nations that do the most harm to the United States

counterterrorism
Counterterrorism deals with, as the name suggests, fighting against terrorism. Special Agents working the the field of Counterterrorism will:
1) Deal with detonating bombs and such before they go off and harm innocent people
2) Identify acts of terrorism by an individual or by a group before it happens
3) Bring down large terrorist networks
4) Teach the common people how to act if they are ever threatened by a terrorist
5) Increase our knowledge of a terrorist network and how many people are involved
6) Find out how far a terrorist will go with their plans
Special Agents in the Counterterrorism field put their lives at a high stake almost every day. As protection from terrorism is the number one priority of the FBI, they have a very important job and they must not mess up or they risk putting the lives of ordinary citizens at risk. These agents have a very demanding job.

criminal
Special Agents in the criminal division focus on thieves. They are trained to stop thieves that gain money, corrupt the public, organize major crimes, deal with illegal drugs, and violate a citizen's rights. Sometimes they must deal with crimes that happen internationally because of the large scale on which they are commited.
cyber
Cyber agents specialize in finding out infiltrators on the internet. The agents often have the job of restoring important information from hackers, disabling malicious viruses and codes, and taking care of unsuspecting victims who fall for internet predators; often, these victims are children. They also have the job of stopping entire networks of dangerous codes, sometimes those that go far that they threaten the Untied States network. These agents basically stop frauds, thieves, and hackers on the internet.
