PHYSICAL- FBI Special Agents should not be afraid of extreme physical work. They must be able to complete rigorous task under huge amounts of stress. They must also have near-perfect vision and hearing (see Requirements for more information.) Extensive medical searches will occur as a precaution to make sure that a new agent is as healthy as can possibly be.
INTELLIGENCE- FBI Special Agents must have high levels of deductive and logical reasoning as their jobs involve criminals and will help solve crimes. These crimes are often complicated and demanding, so an agent should have a sharp mind at all times.
PERSONAL QUALITIES- FBI Special Agents should be honest, responsible, trustworthy, and have good judgement skills. This job often requires quick thinking and one must have the skills honed for them to be an effective agent. Also, because Special Agents are often involved with criminals, they should have a great deal of integrity. To prove to the FBI that they have these characteristics, they must go through extensive background searches before being admitted.
TEAM OR SOLO?- FBI Special Agents should DEFINITELY be team players. For example, if they were to be part of a hostage rescue team, they would have to seamlessly work with their team members to get the job done. Of course, as most jobs require, there is some level of independency expected, but nevertheless, FBI must work very well with each other, more than most jobs require.
